Ever since Vince ...Thank you for your kind comment! Ever since Vince and I learned how to sail some 15 years ago we've talked about taking an extended off shore trip. But with the kids, and a couple cold, sea sick experiences, I lost the nerve. Fast forward several years, last Thanksgiving we had a camping trip at Big Sur; on the drive home, Vince asked me what I'd think about taking a year with the kids and RV around the US and Canada. Then he sweetened the idea with Europe. That evening we discovered a few NA families had done this and we were hooked. It's a very complicated adventure and there's so much to work out but you take it piece by piece. We thought it would be good for the kids overall; they'd certainly see and hopefully learn a lot. In reality, every day is a problem-solving day. Issues occur that need to be resolved, most notably with the RV but also with other things. We're all in this together and learning that most things are solvable which is really satisfying.
